AÇAÍ

A recent import from Brazil, açaí (pronunced "ah-sigh-ee") is the new superfood of choice. açaí is the fruit from a special palm tree that grows in the Amazon rain forest and tastes like a cross between blackberries and chocolate. It has been a staple for the Indians that have lived there for hundreds of years, and they call the new tree that bears this small purple fruit "The Tree of Life". The juice of the açaí fruit is put over grains and fruit, or mixed with water and sugar to create an energizing beverage.
Açaí´s health benefits are astounding, and scientists are impressed by the fruit´s high level of proteins, fiber, vitamin E, and minerals. It is an antioxidant-rich-superfood as well as a valuable, natural cholesterol controller. It also builds the immune system, fights infections, protects the heart, and can control prostate-enlargement.
You should start your day with the healthy qualities of açaí.
